Ingredients

For the cookie dough

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar plus more for dusting
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract for an aromatic foundation
  • 1 tsp almond extract enhancing the nutty flavor
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour to provide structure
  • 1 cup almond flour or finely ground almonds enriching the cookie’s texture
  • 1/4 tsp salt to balance sweetness

Instructions

Preparation of Dough

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened unsalted butter and powdered sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.

Adding Flavor

  • Gradually mix in the pure vanilla and almond extracts.

Combining Dry Ingredients

  • Add the all-purpose flour, almond flour, and salt. Stir until a soft dough forms, ensuring all ingredients are well integrated.

Chilling the Dough

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 to 40 minutes.

Shaping the Cookies

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and bake the cookies for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges just begin to turn golden.

Finishing Touch

  • Allow the cookies to cool slightly, then dust them generously with powdered sugar.

Notes
