  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar For tangy contrast.
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar For a hint of sweetness.
  • 1 tsp cornstarch To thicken the sauce.

For Garnish

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds For garnish.
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped For freshness.

Instructions

Marinate the Beef

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Toss in the thinly sliced beef until it is well coated, then let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Make the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon of honey or brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch. Whisk everything together until fully blended and set aside.

Stir-Fry the Ingredients

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add mushroom and sauté for 3 minutes. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant, then add snow peas and cook for another 2 minutes until tender-crisp.

Combine & Finish

  • Return the cooked beef to the pan, pour the sauce over, and stir to coat. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and melds together.

Serve & Enjoy

  • Serve hot over steamed jasmine rice or silky noodles. Enjoy!

Notes

To add variance, consider adding bell peppers or broccoli. A splash of lemon juice before serving can enhance the freshness. Marinating longer than 30 minutes can intensify flavors.
