Ingredients

Cereal Mixture

  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal Provides a crunchy texture that’s perfect for mixing.
  • 2 cups Mini pretzel sticks Adds a salty twist to balance the sweetness.
  • 1.5 cups Cheerios Brings in additional crunch and nutty flavors.

Sweet Additions

  • 1 cup Pastel-colored M&M’s Brightens up the mix and adds playful sweetness.
  • 12 oz White chocolate chips or melting wafers Acts as the deliciously sweet binding ingredient.
  • 3 tbsp Spring-themed sprinkles For that extra festive flair.
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil Optional, for a smoother melting experience.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex, mini pretzel sticks, and Cheerios. Gently mix these dry ingredients together, making sure not to crush the cereal or pretzels.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips with coconut oil (if using). Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  • Once the chocolate is fully melted, pour it over the cereal mixture. Quickly toss everything together, ensuring every crispy piece is coated beautifully in the melted chocolate before it sets.
  • While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle in the pastel M&M’s and spring sprinkles. Gently fold them in, trying not to break the M&M’s or the cereal.
  • Spread the chocolate-coated mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow it to cool completely at room temperature, or if you're in a hurry, pop it in the fridge for a quicker setting.
  • Once set, break the Bunny Bait into clusters. Serve in bowls, jars, or colorful pastel containers to add a delightful presentation.

Notes

Chef’s Secret: Ensure the chocolate is melted smoothly to prevent clumping. Adding coconut oil is optional but will make the melting process easier and provide a nice sheen to your Bunny Bait. Consider using different flavored M&M’s or adding nuts for a unique crunch.
