  • 30 g chopped walnuts Toasted for flavor
  • 2-3 pieces ripe pears, unpeeled, cored, and sliced Choose ripe pears for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice To enhance flavor and prevent browning
  • 2 tablespoons honey For caramelizing the pears
  • 30 g butter For caramelizing the pears
  • 2 handfuls arugula Base for the salad
  • 100 g blue cheese, crumbled For topping

Instructions

Preparation

  • Slice the ripe pears and place them in a bowl. Drizzle the lemon juice over the slices, followed by the honey. Toss gently to coat.
  • Heat a dry non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the chopped walnuts and toast for 3-4 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden. Transfer to a plate.
  • In the same pan, melt the butter. Add the honey-coated pears and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until caramelized.
  • Arrange arugula on serving plates. Top with warm caramelized pears, crumbled blue cheese, and toasted walnuts.
  • Serve immediately, optionally drizzling with balsamic glaze or extra honey.

Notes

Consider using different nuts or greens based on preference. If blue cheese isn't preferred, try feta or goat cheese. Fresh pomegranate seeds can add a burst of color and crunch.
