Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and honey. Brush the cut sides of the pears with this mixture.
  • Place the pears cut side down on a baking dish and roast for 20 minutes or until tender and golden.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the blue cheese, cream cheese, honey, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Toast the walnuts in a dry pan over medium heat for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Assembly

  • Carefully spoon the blue cheese mixture into the centers of the warm pears.
  • Top with toasted walnuts, drizzle with balsamic glaze and honey, and garnish with fresh rosemary.

Notes

For best results, use firm pears like Bartlett or Bosc. You can substitute blue cheese with goat cheese or feta if desired. The cheese mixture can be prepared in advance.
