Ingredients

For the Crab Filling

  • 8 oz lump crab meat or imitation crab, chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened adds a rich and creamy texture
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese for gooey, cheesy goodness
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise balances flavors and enhances creaminess
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped adds a fresh bite
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder adds aromatic depth
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning seafood seasoning flair
  • Salt & black pepper to taste essential for flavor enhancement

For the Crescent Rolls

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough the perfect vessel for our filling
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp Everything Bagel seasoning or use sesame seeds & garlic flakes

Instructions

Preparation

  • Mix lump crab meat, cream cheese, mozzarella, mayonnaise, chives, garlic powder, and Old Bay seasoning in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.

Assembly

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Spoon a generous amount of filling onto the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll the dough around the filling from the wide end, tucking in the sides.

Baking

  • Brush each roll with beaten egg and sprinkle with Everything Bagel seasoning.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Let the rolls cool for a few minutes before serving. Pair with garlic butter or lemon aioli.

Notes

Gently mix filling to maintain crab lumps for texture. Consider adding a squeeze of lemon juice or diced bell peppers for extra flavor and crunch.
