  • 1 box (6 oz) cherry Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 can (14 oz) whole cranberry sauce
  • 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup chopped apples (peeled or unpeeled)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts Can use sunflower seeds or toasted coconut flakes as substitutes.
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, add the cherry Jello to the boiling water and stir well until fully dissolved (about 2 minutes).
  • Mix in the cold water and allow to cool for about 5 minutes.
  • Fold in the cranberry sauce, crushed pineapple, chopped apples, and nuts, stirring to ensure an even distribution.
  • Pour the mixture into a glass serving dish or mold.
  • Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
  • Once set, scoop and serve chilled, optionally topping with whipped cream or extra pecans.

Notes

For a stunning presentation, serve in individual cups and garnish with fresh mint or whipped cream. This salad pairs well with roasted meats and makes a great addition to brunch tables.
