Preparation

  • In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, white pepper, and salt.

Cooking Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti or linguini and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.

Sautéing Chicken

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken strips, seasoning them with half of the spice mix. Cook for about 3 minutes, flipping to sear the other side until browned and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes more.

Making the Sauce

  • Reduce the heat to low, add the remaining butter, and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine, scraping up any flavorful bits from the pan, and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce to a simmer and allow it to thicken for about 7-8 minutes.

Serving

  • Once the sauce has thickened, taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve the creamy chicken and sauce over the cooked pasta, garnishing with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

Consider adding spinach, peas, or broccoli during the last few minutes of cooking for extra nutrition. For a richer sauce, stir in grated Parmesan cheese just before serving.
