Preparation

  • Combine both semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips with the butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract once the chocolate is melted.
  • Add the crispy rice cereal, gently folding it into the chocolate until evenly coated.
  • Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Pour the chocolate and cereal mixture into the pan and spread it evenly.
  • Tap the pan gently on the counter to remove any air pockets.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until completely firm.
  • Once firm, remove from the pan and cut into bars or squares.
