Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the mozzarella string cheese sticks in half and place them on a lined tray. Freeze for at least 1 hour.
  • Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs and milk, and a third with seasoned breadcrumbs and seasonings.

Coating

  • Dredge each frozen cheese stick in flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it in the seasoned breadcrumbs. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating once more.

Frying

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the breaded mozzarella sticks in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Making the Marinara Sauce

  • In a small saucepan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add crushed tomatoes and seasonings and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.

Preparing the Creamy Dip
