Ingredients

S'mores Ingredients

  • 8 squares graham cracker squares
  • 4 large marshmallows (or 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff)
  • 4 squares milk chocolate

Batter Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs (for coating)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Serving Ingredients

  • Chocolate sauce or hot fudge (for serving)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by placing a piece of chocolate and a marshmallow (or a generous spoonful of fluff) between two graham cracker squares. Gently press them together to form a cozy sandwich. Repeat this process until all graham crackers are transformed into delightful s'mores.
  • In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, egg, and milk. Whisk them together until a smooth batter forms, thick enough to coat your s'mores. In a separate bowl, pour out the graham cracker crumbs.

Coating

  • Take each assembled s'mores sandwich and dip it into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated. Then roll it in the graham cracker crumbs until it’s enveloped in a deliciously crunchy coating.

Frying

  • In a deep pan, safely heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully place the coated s'mores into the hot oil, ensuring they’re not overcrowded in the pan. Fry for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until they become golden brown and crispy.
  • Once done, carefully remove them with a slotted spoon and let them drain on paper towels.

Serving

  • Drizzle your deep-fried s'mores generously with chocolate sauce and dust them lightly with powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness. Serve immediately while they’re warm and gooey in the center!

Notes

For best results, fry immediately after preparation. To maintain best taste, serve immediately after frying. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in an oven at 350°F for a few minutes until warm and crispy again. Consider air-frying to cut down on oil.
