Ingredients

For the pears

  • 4 pieces ripe pears, halved and cored Choose firm pears to ensure they hold up during baking.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the pears in half and carefully remove their cores.
  • Arrange the pears on a baking sheet with the cut sides facing up.

Filling

  • In a small bowl, blend the crumbled blue cheese, toasted walnuts, and honey together.
  • Fill the hollowed pears with the cheese mixture.
  • Drizzle balsamic vinegar over each pear half and sprinkle with black pepper.

Baking

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until the pears are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Finish with an extra drizzle of honey and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
