Ingredients

For the Mocktail

  • 1/2 cup freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or simple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 drops almond extract (optional)
  • Ice cubes

For Garnishing

  • 1 tbsp crushed biscotti or ladyfinger crumbs
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • A dab of maple syrup for sticking
  • Whipped cream or frothed milk (optional)
  • Dusting of cocoa powder (optional)
  • One whole coffee bean or a chocolate shaving (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Glass

  • On a plate, combine the biscotti crumbs and cocoa powder. Dip the rim of a coupe or martini glass in a dab of maple syrup, then roll it in the crumb mixture. Place the glass in the refrigerator to chill.

Mix the Mocktail

  • In a cocktail shaker or blender, pour in the cooled espresso, mascarpone cheese, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and optional almond extract. Add a handful of ice cubes and shake vigorously or blend until smooth and slightly frothy.

Serve

  • Strain the creamy espresso mixture into the rimmed glass. Optionally, swirl whipped cream on top or add frothed milk. Finish by dusting lightly with cocoa powder and adding a whole coffee bean or chocolate curl on top.

Notes

Chill your glass for enhanced beverage temperature and visual appeal. Froth milk for a cafe-like presentation. Adjust sweetness with additional maple syrup if desired.
