For the Ciabatta

  • 1 large loaf ciabatta, sliced lengthwise The perfect vessel to hold all the delicious ingredients.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it’s bubbling softly.
  • Add the cooked shrimp along with Old Bay seasoning and sauté for 1–2 minutes until heated through.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, mayonnaise, minced garlic, chopped dill, chopped chives, and shredded Cheddar Jack cheese. Season with salt and pepper, stirring until well combined.
  • Slice the ciabatta loaf lengthwise, then spread the shrimp mixture generously over both halves.

Cooking

  • Place the loaded ciabatta halves on a baking sheet and bake for about 10–13 minutes until the cheese has melted and the ciabatta is golden and crisp.

Serving

  • Remove the ciabatta from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before slicing it into thick sticks. Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a splash of lemon juice to the shrimp mixture. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes. You can also substitute the Cheddar Jack cheese for mozzarella or pepper jack.
