Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Making Caramel

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and light corn syrup. Stir continuously for about 3 minutes until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, salt, and optional cinnamon.

Combine and Bake

  • In a large bowl, combine the Crispix cereal and pecan halves. Pour the warm caramel mixture over the cereal and nuts, tossing gently to coat every piece.
