Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Take one sheet of phyllo pastry, brush it generously with melted butter, and layer another sheet on top. Repeat for five sheets to create a tender, flaky base.
  • Cut the stacked pastry into rectangles approximately 3×4 inches. Repeat this with the remaining five sheets.
  • On the prepared baking sheet, place one stack of rectangles. Layer in the brie slices, cranberry sauce, and sprinkle with toasted pecans.
  • Top with another stack of phyllo rectangles, brush the top with melted butter.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey or maple syrup, then garnish with more toasted pecans and fresh thyme.

Notes

Keep phyllo sheets covered with a damp cloth while working to prevent them from drying out. You can prepare the layered phyllo ahead of time, keeping it uncooked until baking.
