For the Steaks

  • 2 pieces T-bone steaks (about 1½ inches thick) The star ingredient.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Helps with browning and flavor.

Instructions

Make the Herb Butter

  • In a medium bowl, mix together the softened butter, chopped parsley, thyme, rosemary, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Once well combined, spread the mixture onto plastic wrap and roll it tightly to form a log shape. Refrigerate for about 1 hour until firm.

Prep the Steaks

  • Pat the T-Bone steaks dry with a paper towel, then generously season both sides with salt and black pepper. Rub the olive oil over the steaks to help with browning and flavor. Allow them to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes, letting the seasoning penetrate the meat.

Cook the Steaks

  • Preheat your grill or skillet over high heat. Carefully place the steaks on the grill or pan, cooking for around 4 to 5 minutes on each side for a medium-rare doneness. Adjust the cooking time according to your preferred doneness – aim for an internal temperature of 135°F for medium-rare.

Add the Herb Butter

  • Once the steaks reach your desired doneness, transfer them to a cutting board. Slice a piece of the chilled herb butter and place it on top of each steak. Allow the steak to rest for about 5 minutes.

Serve

  • Slice the steaks against the grain and serve with your favorite sides. Enjoy your Marinated Herb Butter T-Bone Steaks with a refreshing drink, fully savoring the herby, buttery goodness.

Notes

Resting Time: Don’t skip the resting time after cooking; it’s crucial for juicy steaks. Use Fresh Herbs: For the best flavor, use fresh herbs instead of dried ones. Grill Marks: For beautiful grill marks, avoid moving the steaks around too much after placing them on the grill. Temperature Check: Use a meat thermometer for precise cooking. Experiment with Butter: Feel free to try variations with different herbs or add spices like smoked paprika.
