Ingredients

Lasagna Base Ingredients

  • 12 oz Lasagna noodles Hearty pasta sheets
  • 1 lb Ground beef Juicy and flavorful
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Sharp and nutty
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese Creamy and melty, for topping

Flavoring Ingredients

  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced, aromatic and savory
  • 1 jar Marinara sauce Rich, tomato-based sauce
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning For aromatic flavor
  • 1 small Onion Diced and sautéed

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic over medium heat until brown.
  • Drain excess fat and add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.

Layering and Baking

  • In a baking dish, layer noodles, beef mixture, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese repeatedly.
  • Finish with a layer of mozzarella on top.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Experiment with cheeses like cheddar or gouda for additional flavor. Consider adding red pepper flakes for heat. Season each layer lightly.
