Flatbread Base

  • 1 store-bought flatbread 1 store-bought flatbread or pizza dough Convenience at its best.
  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp olive oil A rich base to enhance flavors.

  • 1 ripe but firm pear 1 ripe but firm pear, thinly sliced Sweet and juicy, thinly sliced for added elegance.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese Creamy and tangy, it perfectly complements the pears.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup chopped walnuts Nutty and crunchy, adding depth to each bite.
  • 2 cups 2 cups arugula Peppery and fresh, providing a bright contrast.
  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp balsamic glaze Sweet and tangy, for drizzling.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Enhancing the overall flavors.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Place your store-bought flatbread on a baking sheet. Brush one tablespoon of olive oil evenly across the surface.
  • Arrange the thinly sliced pears aesthetically on top of the flatbread.
  • Scatter the crumbled Gorgonzola and chopped walnuts evenly over the pears.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • While the flatbread is baking, toss the arugula in a bowl with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, along with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Once the flatbread is done, take it out of the oven. Top with the prepared arugula and drizzle some balsamic glaze over everything.
  • Slice into pieces and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. To reheat, place in the oven at a low temperature to retain crispiness. Consider using whole wheat flatbread or cauliflower crust for a healthier option.
