Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup pistachio paste This rich, nutty spread adds depth and color.
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened This creamy cheese brings a delightful smoothness.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a fluffy, whipped texture.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar Sweetens without the grittiness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Elevates the flavor profile.
  • 20-24 pieces ladyfinger cookies Absorb the coffee beautifully.
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled Adds robust flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons pistachio liqueur (optional) Adds extra flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder To garnish and provide bitterness.
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios For a delightful crunch on top.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, pistachio paste, and vanilla extract. Mix until completely smooth.
  • Gently fold in the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, ensuring it remains light and airy.
  • Mix the cooled coffee with pistachio liqueur if using.

Assembly

  • Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of your serving dish.
  • Spread a thick layer of the pistachio mascarpone cream on top. Repeat layers until you run out of ladyfingers, finishing with a layer of cream.

Chilling

  • Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Serving

  • Dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
  • Your Pistachio Tiramisu is now ready to serve!

Notes

Choosing high-quality pistachio paste is key. Ensure heavy cream is cold for better whipping. Optional variations include substituting ladyfingers and adjusting sweetness levels.
