  • 1 large salmon fillet Choose fresh, either skin-on or skin-off.
  • 1 cup lump crab meat The star of the filling, brings delightful richness.
  • 0.5 pound small shrimp Peeled, deveined, and chopped.
  • 0.5 cup panko breadcrumbs Or crushed crackers for a crunchy topping.
  • 3 tbsp melted butter For richness and binding of ingredients.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced for flavor depth.
  • 1 lemon zest and juice For brightness and freshness.
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley Chopped for added freshness.
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill or thyme Optional herb for flavor.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan Optional for extra richness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • In a bowl, combine lump crab meat, chopped shrimp, panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, parsley, dill, salt, pepper, and Parmesan (if using). Mix gently.
  • Place salmon fillet on a lined baking sheet and make a lengthwise slit down the center to create a pocket.
  • Stuff the seafood mixture into the pocket of salmon, mounding it up for presentation.

Cooking

  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork and the topping is golden brown.

Serving

  • Sprinkle additional fresh herbs and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Use fresh seafood for best flavor. Customize seasoning to your taste. Serve with fresh salad greens or grilled vegetables.
