Ingredients

Filling

Instructions

Preparation

  • Combine softened cream cheese, chopped shrimp, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • Place one wonton wrapper flat on a clean surface and add 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center.
  • Brush the edges of the wonton wrapper with beaten egg and fold to seal tightly.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully drop sealed wontons into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, turning occasionally.
  • Remove wontons using a slotted spoon and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.

Serving

  • Garnish with chives or extra green onions and serve hot with sweet chili sauce.

Notes

Consider adding minced ginger or crushed red pepper flakes for an extra kick. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
