Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch pan by lining it with parchment paper or foil. Lightly grease to ensure easy removal later.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the crushed graham cracker sheets, melted butter, and granulated sugar until fully combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan, ensuring an even layer.

Baking

  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until the crust is set and golden at the edges. Remove from the oven.
  • Immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot crust. Allow them to sit for 2-3 minutes, then spread evenly across the crust with a spatula.
  • Evenly scatter the mini marshmallows on top of the melted chocolate, covering it completely.
  • Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the marshmallows are puffy and lightly golden. Optionally, broil for 1-2 minutes for an extra toasty finish.

Cooling and Serving

  • Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. For cleaner cuts, chill them in the fridge before slicing into squares or bars.

Notes

For alternatives, use crushed cookies like digestive biscuits for the crust. You can also mix dark chocolate or add crushed nuts or a drizzle of caramel on top for a unique twist.
