  • to taste fresh thyme or oregano (optional) For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat feta dry using a paper towel to ensure it sears beautifully.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.

Cooking

  • Add the block of feta to the skillet and sear for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden.
  • In a bowl, mix honey, chili crisp, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and optional red pepper flakes to create a glaze.
  • Once the feta is golden, pour the glaze over and around it in the skillet, tilting to coat all sides.
  • Simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and thickened.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs and with crusty bread or flatbread.

Notes

For deeper flavors, consider marinating the feta in olive oil and herbs beforehand. Ensure proper searing temperature for the best results. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
