Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease and flour a 9x13-inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, strawberry gelatin, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and mashed strawberries. Mix until the batter is smooth and well-combined.

Baking

  • Transfer the batter into your prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let it cool completely in the pan.

Making the Glaze

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, strawberry puree, and lemon juice until the mixture is smooth and pourable.
  • If desired, add pink gel food coloring for an extra vibrant look.

Finishing Touches

  • Pour the glaze evenly over the cooled cake and allow it to set slightly before topping with halved strawberries.
  • Cut into squares to serve, either chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Using fresh strawberries will enhance both flavor and appearance. You can also mix in blueberries or raspberries for a mixed-berry cake experience. Pair it with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added decadence.
