Ingredients

Pasta and Sauce

  • 12 pieces jumbo pasta shells These large, shell-shaped pasta pieces will cradle the savory filling perfectly.
  • 1/2 cup taco sauce Adds tangy and slightly spicy flavor.

Meat and Cheese

  • 1/2 lb ground beef Tender and juicy, complements the spices.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Provides a delightful gooeyness.

Seasoning and Topping

  • 1/2 tsp salt Enhances all the flavors.
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper Adds warmth and depth.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Boil a large pot of salted water, add the jumbo pasta shells and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add salt, black pepper, and taco sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes.

Assembly and Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Fill each shell with the beef mixture and place them in a greased baking dish.
  • Top with shredded cheddar cheese and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  • After baking, add sour cream and cilantro on top before serving warm.

Notes

For more spice, add jalapeños or bell peppers to the beef. Freeze uncooked shells for later use by layering with parchment paper.
