Ingredients

Meat

  • 1.5 pounds steak (sirloin or tenderloin) These cuts are tender and juicy, ideal for searing perfectly.

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream This luscious, creamy base brings richness to the sauce.
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds a salty, nutty flavor that complements the steak beautifully.
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided Provides a rich mouthfeel to the sauce.
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the garlic flavor without overpowering the dish.
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper Gives a subtle kick to the overall flavor.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Balances out the flavors in the dish.
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder Adds depth to the creamy sauce.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Amplifies the aromatic savoriness.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley Brightens the dish and adds a fresh element.
  • pinch red pepper flakes (optional) For those who enjoy a hint of heat.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a hot skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted and is bubbling, add the cubed steak to the pan. Season the meat with salt and black pepper. Allow the steak to sear without moving it for 2-3 minutes, or until a golden-brown crust forms.
  • Once browned, remove the steak from the pan and set it aside on a plate.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Allow the butter to melt completely.
  • Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream into the pan, stirring gently to combine. Bring the cream to a gentle simmer, allowing it to heat up.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder, and the pinches of red pepper flakes if you're using them. Continue to simmer the sauce for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.

Serving

  • Return the seared steak bites to the pan, tossing them gently in the creamy Parmesan sauce to coat evenly.
  • Let them heat through for an additional minute or two. Before serving, sprinkle the dish with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

Choose sirloin or tenderloin cuts for the best texture and flavor. Don’t overcrowd the pan while cooking. Adjust sauce thickness by simmering longer or adding a splash of milk. Experiment with flavors by adding different spices or herbs.
