Tremendous Savory Steak Bites and Shrimp

Ingredients

For the marinade

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces Choose a good quality steak for best flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

For the shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional) Add for a spicy kick.

For the sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

Marinate the Steak

  • Combine steak pieces with minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.

Cook the Steak Bites

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated steak in a single layer and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Season and Cook the Shrimp

  • In the same skillet, add shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with steak.

Make the Sauce

  • Melt butter in the same skillet. Add soy sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, thyme, and rosemary, stirring until combined. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Combine Everything

  • Return steak and shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Heat for 1-2 minutes until warmed through. Serve immediately.

Notes

For more flavor, marinate the steak for up to an hour. Substitute seafood with scallops or chicken if desired.
